COPE works in support of the plantation workers in Sri Lanka and south India

COPE started as an NGO in 1988 in order to give educational support to plantation worker youth in the highlands of Sri Lanka and south India. This workers' community is one of the most deprived groups of South Asia and our support was given as scholarships for professional education. In December 2001, 990 girls and boys had been educated through the COPE support.

Today the COPE is active as a part of a network in cooperation with its partners Island Trust in India and Satyodaya in Sri Lanka.
